Job Requirements
All lifeguards are required to have the following Lifeguard certifications. These courses are offered onsite at GPBLCC. Please reach out to the manager for sign-ups, dates, and costs associated with each certification.
- Lifeguarding First Aid/CPR/AED
- Waterfront Skills Module (Lake Certification)
Lifeguard requirements and responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Ability to sit in direct sunlight for 30 minutes at a time
- Ability to work during the Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day Holidays
- Provide general club information to our members and guests
- Understand and know the rules and regulations set forth by GPBLCC
- General cleaning of the facility and the grounds
- Will provide Head Manager with working papers upon their first shift (Those under 18 years old)
- Strong math and computer skills preferred
- Strong people skills (outgoing, personable, friendly, good with kids and adults)
- Ensure that all the members are in good standing of the club prior to entering.
- Ensure that all guests are accounted for.
- Provide a great experience to all members and guests that enter the facility.
- Check for any voicemails that are left and report to the head manager.
- Understand and know the rules and regulations set forth by GPBLCC.
- Ensure the front gate office is cleaned daily.
- Need to be able to work during holidays (ie. Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day)
- Able to complete training on how the computer system works for check-in of members and guests.
- Will provide Head Manager with working papers upon their first shift (Those under 18 years old)
- Able to pick up and move up to 50 lbs at a time.

- Will provide Head Manager with working papers upon their first shift (Those under 18 years old)
- Ensure that all of the grounds are clean prior to opening, which is not limited to:
- All grills are cleaned
- Grounds are clear of any trash
- All trash cans are cleaned (As needed)
